Electoral Landscape Shifts in Buenos Aires

In a recent study conducted by analyst Federico González, eight potential candidates for the Head of Government of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (CABA) have been evaluated. González, known for his closeness to Peronism and with nearly two decades of experience in electoral forecasting, presents an electoral landscape with diverse candidates and trends.

One of the mentioned candidates is Alejandro Kim, son of Korean immigrants, who is affiliated with the Peronism of Guillermo Moreno. According to González's study, Kim surpasses Pilar Ramírez, the official candidate of La Libertad Avanza, and Celeste Fierro, former legislator of the MST and representative of the left, in voting intention. Ramírez, in turn, has the approval of Karina Milei in the internal race against Marra, but currently garners 3.7% support. On the other hand, Peretta, leader of the pharmacists and biochemists union, ranked at 5.5% in the survey, even provoking a joke from a polling leader.

The study also reveals uncertainty in the electoral scenario, with a significant percentage of respondents favoring blank votes and another group that has not yet decided their support. Additionally, possible strategic movements by the Government and the PRO are analyzed in a context where the latter has governed the district since 2007. The results show that national deputy Leandro Santoro leads the list with 34.6% voting intention.

Other candidates such as Ramiro Marra, expelled from La Libertad Avanza, and Laura Alonso, official spokesperson for the PRO, also appear in the study with notable percentages. The position of Mauricio D'Alessandro, a lawyer and media figure, stands out in third place with 8.0%. Among the main concerns of the surveyed porteños are the price of medications, health, and hospitals.

In the context of the elections on March 18, the variety of candidates and the constant change in electoral preferences make the political landscape of CABA a scenario full of surprises and movement.
